What’s in our preamble? (p. 1)
An agreement that all people take pride in their work, want to be involved in decisions that affect them, and share in the success of their efforts, among other things.

Can we use district e-mail for Association business? (p. 4)
Yes, for communication purposes.

Can I have a place to secure personal items at school? (p. 6)
Yes. You need to request one.

What are employee disciplinary procedures? (p. 7)
No employee shall be disciplined without proper cause. Such discipline shall be in private.

If an employee finds out a conference is disciplinary in nature, and anything besides informal issues or concerns are noted, you have reasonable opportunity to have representation present prior to initiation of continuation of the conference.

Can I inspect my personnel file? (p. 7-8)
Yes. You may inspect all materials in your district personnel file. It has to happen by appointment and with the Superintendent or designee and anybody of your choice.

You may attach your own signed, dated statement to any items in your file.

How do I gain release from a Supplemental Contract? (p. 8-9)

  1. Inform the district at least 30 days prior to end of the prior school year.
  2. Inform the district at least 30 days prior to commencement of activity and a suitable replacement can be found.
  3. Reasonable extenuating circumstances

You must submit a letter of resignation to Superintendent’s office.

What are Transfer Definitions? (p. 9)
Voluntary Transfer—a change in worksite mutually agreed to by both district and employee.
Involuntary Transfer—a change in worksite not agreed to by the employee
Reassignment—the assignment of an employee from one position to another within the same worksite
Vacancy—any opening that may occur at a worksite, including those that are newly created

What if I desire a transfer? (p. 9-11)
Notify Administration in writing by February 15.
Request will be kept on file until September 1 of that year.
All known vacancies for the following year will be posted by April 1.

How many days in my contract? (p. 11)
The base employee contract shall be 180 days plus LID days (currently 2).
